CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - School officials in Chicago will be busy Thursday morning getting ready for the start of a new school year. People from around the city will be gathering for a Safe Haven rally designed to make sure kids get to school safe and on time.
This summer, Safe Haven has kept over 8,000 students safe during the summer break.. As summer ends, organizers are encouraging students to go back to school with a positive attitude to achieve great success in the classroom.
Safe Haven leaders will hold their annual back to school rally at Marquette Park. At the event, students can enjoy food and fun in the park from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
