CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - For over 20 years, former Alderman Dorothy Tillman fought for economic opportunity and the rights of her constituents in Chicago's 3rd ward. But her fight for equality started decades earlier when she joined Dr. Martin Luther King's Southern Christian Leadership Conference as a trainee and field staff organizer.
Her entire career she has fought to honor the work of Dr. King. And on Saturday, she hopes to empower the youth of Chicago to be the change that they would like to see at the Harold Washington Cultural Center with the "Where Do We Go From Here: Community or Chaos?" event.
