Chicago police get earful at community forum

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - Chicago police got an earful Thursday night at a public hearing over police accountability in the city.  

Many African-American citizens who attended the meeting talked about how they don't believe police hear their concerns.

Thursday night's meeting was held at the South Shore Cultural Center and marked the second of four community forums across Chicago designed for residents to voice their recommendations for change within CPD.

The meetings will focus on reforms in five important areas: community-police relations, de-escalation, early intervention and personnel, officer identity and video release policy, and police oversight and accountability.
