CTU protest teacher layoffs, budget cuts

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - The Chicago Teacher's Union picketed Wednesday morning outside Chicago Public Schools headquarters.

The union is still angry that CPS is laying off hundreds of workers as a way to get its budget under control. It says budget cuts of hundreds of millions of dollars means Chicago students will suffer.

The union's protest began at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning, right before the board votes on the budget.
