CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) Two men were shot Saturday afternoon on the Near West Side..
The men were shot about 3:45 p.m. at Ashland and Van Buren.
They were both being taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.
The victims were boxed in by two other cars before shots were fired. Fox 32 News reporter Dakarai Turner saw a dozen bullet holes in the windshield of the victims' SUV.
Detectives just put down 40 evidence markers around what are likely shell casings. The shooting happened when the Jeep was boxed in by 2 cars, according to police.— Dakarai Turner (@Dakarai_Turner) June 2, 2018
