Two injured when fuel truck crashes into plane at O'Hare
CHICAGO (STMW) - A fuel truck crashed into a plane at O’Hare International Airport late Sunday, leaving the driver of the vehicle and a flight attendant with minor injuries.
The truck struck the wing of the plane about 11:15 p.m. while the plane was stationary at O’Hare, according to Chicago Police and Chicago Fire Department Chief Juan Hernandez.
The plane, GoJet Airlines flight No. 3693, was operating as United Express and headed to Omaha, Nebraska, according to a statement from Trans States Holdings, which owns GoJet Airlines.
None of the plane’s 65 passengers were injured, but one of the four crew members, a flight attendant, was taken to the hospital for evaluation, authorities said.
Hernandez said the male driver of the vehicle was also injured and was taken in good condition to Presence Resurrection Medical Center.
The flight’s passengers will be accommodated via an alternate flight Monday, the statement said.
