Elderly deaf woman missing from South Shore

CHICAGO (STMW) - Chicago Police are searching for an elderly woman who was reported missing Thursday after she left her daughter’s South Shore home in the middle of the night.

Loretta Eubanks-Jackson, 73, was last seen at her daughter’s home in the 3000 block of East 79th Street, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police.

Eubanks-Jackson is deaf and in the early stages of dementia, police said. She lives in the 7300 block of North Ridge in Rogers Park, and uses the Red Line to travel between the North and South sides.

She is described as a black woman with a medium complexion, brown eyes and reddish brown hair, standing 5-feet-3 and weighing 200 pounds, police said. She was last seen wearing a black coat, black hooded jacket, black leggings and black boots.
