Body pulled from Lake Michigan near Grant Park

CHICAGO (SUN TIMES MEDIA WIRE) - A body was pulled from Lake Michigan Monday morning near Grant Park.

The Chicago Police Marine Unit responded about 6:30 a.m. to a call of a person in the water in the 500 block of South Lake Shore Drive, police said.

The body was pulled from the water and pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office confirmed the fatality, but did not release additional information Monday morning.
