Hockey players hit the (North Avenue) beach after rare smooth pond forms

CHICAGO (Fox 32 News) - On Friday night, hockey fans found an amazing surprise on Chicago's North Avenue Beach: a frozen pond.

Bobby Ziegler sent us this video. He says the last time this happened was almost ten years ago.

Ziegler said they had a blast playing hockey on Friday, but the warmer weather Saturday meant their pond was doomed.
