Life expectancy varies greatly from West to North Sides

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - According to a new report, there is a shocking gap in life expectancy between the city's North and West Sides. 

The gap in life expectancy between Chicago's North and West Side neighborhoods is a whopping 16 years, according to the City's Commissioner of Public Health.

The report claims the life expectanct on the North Side is about 85.2 years. But in West Garfield Park, the life expectancy is only 68.8 years.

However, the health commissioner said the disparity has improved over the past 20 years.
