Lots up memorabilia up for grabs at annual White Sox Garage Sale

The White Sox are on the road, but there will be plenty of activity happening at The Cell this weekend.

The team will hold its annual garage sale.

The White Sox are opening up the gates at US Cellular Field while the team is away and letting fans take a peek at items and memorabilia from the clubhouse.

"It's just an opportunity for fans to come in, pick up a piece of memorabilia from their favorite player, their favorite team and take it home and have it be a part of their personal collection,” said White Sox Charities Executive Director Christine O’Reilly.

Prices range from a couple of bucks for things like programs to several hundred dollars for game used bats from players like Jose Abreu.

“Something for everybody and we try to make sure we have things priced across all levels,” O’Reilly said.

Authentic jerseys are another popular grab for fans, with prices as low as $75.

The most unusual item you'll see are turnstiles from old Comiskey Park. Those will cost $1000, but all of the proceeds go to White Sox Charities.

“It's just such a great way for fans to not only pick up something for their own personal collection, but to make a real difference with us, with White Sox Charities and our impact on the community,” O’Reilly said.

The White Sox Garage Sale opens up Saturday morning at 10 o'clock and runs through 3 in the afternoon.

The good news is it’s free to get in and free to park, just make sure you come in through Gate 2.

The White Sox will also hold the Family Field Day on Sunday. Fans will be able to play catch on the field as well as inspect the dugout and clubhouse.
