CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - You have been able to rock to the Foo Fighters, and ACDC the last couple of weeks at Wrigley Field. But some say the bands aren't just ripping it on stage - they're also ripping up the field.

After Monday night's Chicago Cubs game, Joe Maddon said the team had a bit of trouble, as the concert "totally messed up" the infield. But Tuesday, Maddon went on to say that he was just being "flippant" with his comments and that he supports having concerts at the Friendly Confines.

A new grass field was installed after the concert. An hour before game time Friday against the Cardinals, groundskeepers walked around the outfield tamping down the grass, according to a report from the Chicago Tribune.

Some Cubs employees voiced concern that the problems on the field could contribute to injuries. The players have also voiced concern that the ripped up field could become a problem as the Cubs make a push for the playoffs.
