Motorcyclist injured in Portage Park crash

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A motorcyclist was injured in a crash in the Northwest Side Portage Park neighborhood Friday night.

At 9:07 p.m., the 25-year-old was riding his Honda motorcycle west in the 5000 block of West Irving Park Road when he drove between two cars and collided with a 2007 Honda Civic as it made a left turn, according to Chicago Police. The driver of the Civic was not injured.

The motorcyclist was thrown to the street and suffered head injuries, police said. He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening and his condition was stabilized.

No charges or citations were issued as of Saturday morning, police said.
