Nun who went viral for baseball pitch helps homeless in Chicago

CHICAGO (Fox 32 News) - A nun who went viral for her great "first pitch" at a White Sox game spent Saturday doing something a little more nun-like.

Sister Mary Jo Sobieck brought some suburban high school students to the streets of Chicago to help the homeless.

The students from Marian Catholic in Chicago Heights handed out gift bags with things like food, socks, hoodies, and toiletries.

"We like to come down here and return dignity to the people on the streets," Sister Mary Jo said. "Too many people walk by them and disregard them."
