CHICAGO (FOX 32 NEWS) - A noose was found Thursday afternoon on DePaul University's Lincoln Park campus, according to a campus alert.
"Late this afternoon we received multiple reports that a noose -- a horrific symbol of racist intimidation -- was found on the Lincoln Park Campus. These reports are being investigated and those found to be responsible will be held accountable," the alert read.
Those with information are urged to call Public Safety.
The discovery comes on the heels of a politically charged week at DePaul. On Tuesday, a DePaul student painted "F*** Mexico" on the Quad. The student was taken into custody by Chicago police.
Later that evening, a College Republicans-hosted event featuring Breitbart provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos was disrupted by protesters, eventually spilling out on to campus.
