CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - Old is new again.

The Archdiocese of Chicago will open a new school Monday morning in the city's Grand Crossing neighborhood. But, two other schools had to be closed to have this one open.

Monday morning, students will arrive for school at Tolton Catholic Academy, a merger of St. Columbanus and St. Dorothy schools.

Located in the 7100 block of South Calumet, the Tolton Catholic Academy is the city's first STREAM school, a combination of Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts and Math.

"The Tolton Academy will usher in a new season for Catholic education on the southside of Chicago. We are creating an innovative, academically strong school that will truly prepare our students to be leaders in our changing world," the school's pastor said in a statement.

The Tolton Academy will begin the 2015-2016 school year with 250 students.
