Two men robbed and pistol-whipped in Chicago

CHICAGO (Fox 32 News) - This weekend, two men in Chicago were robbed and pistol-whipped.

One of the victims was attacked at 4:45 a.m. Sunday morning naer the Chicago and State Red Line Station in the Gold Coast. He was hit on the head while being robbed by at least five men. They stole his cellphone and gym bag.

The other incident happened early Saturday morning on Leland Avenue on the Northwest Side. The 28-year-old victim was walking in an alley when a light-colored van drove up to him and stopped. Four men jumped out and one threatened him with a handgun. That suspect hit him on the head and he fell. The other suspects dug through his pockets and stole his belongings.

No one is in custody in either of the attacks. Police have not said whether they might be linked.
