Want to get spooked? Here are the top haunted houses in the Chicago area

FOX 32 NEWS - Halloween is still a couple weeks away and that means there is still plenty of time to get spooked.

Statesville Haunted Prison in Lombard has not only been voted the scariest haunted attraction in the Chicagoland area, it's been voted one of the scariest in the country. Thrill seekers spend 45 minutes making their way through 40 different cells and other demented prison confines as they do their best to survive the prisoners themselves. Statesville is open until Halloween.

The 13th Floor Haunted House in Melrose Park spreads their terror over 30,000 square feet, and is split into two different attractions - a vampire filled cemetery and a zombie-infested post-apocalyptic wasteland. The 13th Floor Haunted House is open until November 5th.

The House of Torment in Morton Grove takes you back to the horrors of high school - literally. It puts you face to face with demented high school students and zombie cheerleaders. If that's not enough, you then venture into the frenzy, which throws you up against gangs of killer clowns. The house of torment is open until November 5th.

The Dungeon of Doom in Zion looks to scare you by burying you alive - literally. Their "buried dead or alive" experience simulates the terror of actually being sent to an early grave. Other aspects of the hour long dungeon night include a haunted hospital, a gross sewer and the "cabin of carnage." The Dungeon of Doom is open until Halloween.
