Man in stolen car kills Army veteran in fatal crash

FOX 4 News (KDFW) -- A man in a stolen car killed an Army veteran as he tried to flee from police in Bedford, Texas Thursday.

The fatal accident happened around 11:30 a.m. in the 2100 block of Martin Drive.

Jason Bernard Miller, 29, was driving a stolen Audi at a high rate of speed.

Sgt. Jerry Bufford with the Bedford Police Department said a traffic officer spotted the vehicle and turned on his lights and sirens.

Miller took off and soon afterward slammed into another vehicle.

Colby Bozo, an Army veteran, was killed and his pregnant wife was seriously injured. The couple was driving home from a sonogram appointment.

Kristen Bozo and her child remain in critical condition at separate hospitals in Fort Worth.

Miller has been charged with murder, evading arrest detention with a vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

His bond has been set at over $1 million.
