Hoax letter claimed drug lord El Chapo threatened war on ISIS

Mexican drug lord Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzman apparently didn't threaten to wage war on ISIS, as a letter claimed. That letter turned out to be a hoax, according to Daily Mail Online.

Earlier, other reports claimed that El Chapo was furious that ISIS destroyed several of his Sinaloa Cartel's drug shipments moving through the Middle East.

A harshly worded email to ISIS was posted on the website Cartel Blog had Guzmán sending a stark warning to ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi about messing with the cartel's business. But Mail Online said that the writer of the email told the publication that it was a hoax.

"You [ISIS] are not soldiers," Guzmán allegedly wrote. "Your god cannot save you from the true terror that my men will levy at you if you continue to impact my operation."

"My men will destroy you. The world is not yours to dictate. I pity the next son of a whore that tries to interfere with the business of the Sinaloa Cartel. I will have their heart and tongue torn from them. It looks like it's on," Guzmán allegedly added.
