Eggo waffle sales soar thanks to 'Stranger Things'

(Fox 32 News) - Sales of Eggo waffles have gone up thanks to the popular TV show "Stranger Things."
But, when the show is not on the air, sales are sluggish.
"Eleven," who is one of the main characters on "Stranger Things," who is a huge fan of Eggo waffles.
The New York Daily News reports that Eggo sales grew up by 14% from the year prior through the fourth quarter of 2017, followed up by 9.4% through the first four months of 2018.
But when "Stranger Things" was on hiatus, Eggo sales grew by just 1.3%.
