Ex-con searching for cop who rushed him to job interview

NEW YORK (FOX 32 News) - A 58-year-old New York man is on a mission to find the police officer who reportedly rushed him to an important job interview.

James Roberts had been out of work for several years due to his criminal background. But he recently landed a job interview.

Unfortunately, Roberts showed up at the wrong address and didn't have enough money to take a bus to the right location.

Roberts told DNAinfo New York he was crying because he knew he would get the job if he could just get to the interview.

That's when a police officer noticed how upset Roberts was. Roberts told the officer what had happened and the officer ended up offering him a ride to his interview!

Now, Roberts is looking for the officer who helped him land his new job so he can buy him lunch.
