GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan (Fox 32 News) - An 8-year-old Michigan girl was run down and killed as she tried to bring some food to a homeless man.
MLive.com reports that Nevaeh Alston was run over on Tuesday in Grand Rapids. She had been crossing the street with her mother to bring some fresh fruit to a homeless man she had noticed the day before.
The driver was not speeding and did not appear to be impaired.
A GoFundMe page to help the family with funeral expenses had raised $9,521 as of Saturday night.
