'Simpsons' producers rejected Trump's request to be on show: report

The Producers of The Simpsons say they rejected a request from Donald Trump to be on the show.

SAN DIEGO (Fox 32 News) - The producers of the hit Fox comedy "The Simpsons" turned down President Donald Trump's request to be on the show.

Executive Producer Al Jean was asked during a San Diego Comic-Con panel on Saturday whether he had ever rejected a celebrity guest appearance.

"Let's just say he's the president of the United States," Jean said, according to The Wrap.

The Simpsons producers also joked about an episode from 2000 that predicted Trump becoming president, with Matt Selman defending the show and saying it does not only make "terrible" predictions.
