Low-cost Mexican carrier Volaris offers new Chicago route

CHICAGO (AP) - Low-cost Mexican carrier Volaris Airlines has begun service between Chicago's Midway International Airport and the city of Durango in northern Mexico.

The Chicago Department of Aviation announced the new route Friday.

The flights are twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Volaris operates at both Midway and O'Hare International Airport, offering service between Chicago and six destinations in Mexico.
