NAPERVILLE, Ill. (STMW) - Metra’s BNSL line is expected to run with only minimal delays during the evening rush, with things almost back to normal after a train derailed Monday morning near west suburban Naperville.

The derailment on the BNSF Railway caused extensive delays during the morning commute, but Metra is anticipating a normal evening rush with only minimal delays.

Train No. 1206, scheduled to depart Fairview at 5:45 a.m. and arrive in Chicago at 6:35 a.m., derailed just east of Naperville about 5 a.m., according to the transit agency. The train did not have any passengers at the time, and no injuries were reported.
