Stevenson Expressway reopened after 5-vehicle crash
CHICAGO (STMW) - All inbound lanes of the Stevenson Expressway have been reopened to traffic after two separate crashes involving five vehicles left two people injured Thursday afternoon.
Officers responded to the inbound lanes of I-55 near Central Avenue shortly after 4 p.m., according to Illinois State Police.
Two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crashes, police said. Additional details were not immediately available.
All inbound lanes of the expressway were temporarily closed to traffic, but were reopened shortly after 5 p.m., police said.
