Mark Strehl Blog: Some areas still seeing snow

Here in Chicago, it's April showers. But not all that far to the North, it's April snow!

There is a stalled frontal system over Chicago this week. It is the boundary that marks warm air in Southern Illinois and cold air across Northern Wisconsin.

And with that cold air has come a persistent band of snow that has dropped up to six inches across the far Northern parts of the Badger State. North of Green Bay in the town of Amberg, they were already putting away the snow shovels and putting up the lawnmowers on display when the snow hit.

The snow won't last long. Warmer temps should be on the way for the weekend. And by the way, Northern Wisconsin, historically, could see snow all the way till the end of May!
