CHICAGO - Illinois health officials announced another 26 more deaths from COVID-19, raising the statewide death toll to 6,671.
There are also another 462 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health. That brings the state’s total number of cases past 137,000.
The new deaths in Cook County range in age from a man in his 40s to four people in their 90s, according to the health department.
