Police: 2 shot to death inside parked vehicle on West Side
CHICAGO (Sun Times Media Wire) -- Two people were found shot to death early Sunday inside a parked vehicle in the West Side Austin neighborhood, police said.
At 1:52 a.m., officers found 19-year-old Keshonda Monique Maxey and a 26-year-old man shot in the 100 block of North Lockwood Avenue, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Maxey had suffered a gunshot wound to her head and she was pronounced dead at the scene just over an hour later, authorities said.
The man was struck multiple times and taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The medical examiner’s office didn’t immediately confirm his death.
Area North detectives were conducting a homicide investigation.
