Man found dead in creek in Ford Heights

FORD HEIGHTS (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A man was found dead in a creek Tuesday morning in south suburban Ford Heights.

Authorities were called at 8:55 a.m. after 27-year-old Alejandro Taylor was found in Deer Creek near the 1600 block of East Lincoln Highway, according to Cook County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Sophia Ansari and the Cook County Coroner’s Office.

Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene, the coroner’s office said. He lived in south suburban Calumet City.

An autopsy Wednesday did not immediately rule on the cause and manner of his death pending further investigation, the medical examiner’s office said.

The sheriff’s office was conducting a death investigation.
