Sports Anchor: WFLD is looking for a dynamic Sports Anchor/Reporter who brings a passion for sports and can connect with our audience. The position requires the ability to anchor, report, and produce content for the newscast on all platforms. The Sports/Anchor reporters will be a part of newscasts, the “Final Word” show, and special coverage of Chicago’s teams. The Sports Anchor/Reporter must also build relationships with Chicago’s teams, including players, coaches, and executives. Activity on social media is a requirement for building the Fox 32 brand and covering the day’s events on digital. The Sports/Anchor reporter must also take an active role in the community to promote our image and connection to the viewers. The right candidate will be self-motivated, organized, possess strong journalism skills. Possess a degree in journalism or related field and have at least three years of experience as a Sports Anchor or Reporter is required; the ability to communicate well in a live setting; the willingness to travel and work weekends/nights required; must have a demonstrable resume reel of live and packaged reports on subjects ranging from serious to breaking, to lighter sports feature stories. Per Diem Sports Producer: WFLD is seeking a per diem Sports Producer who will be responsible for writing/producing/editing Fox Chicago Sports news under tight deadlines; must be able to produce, line produce, and edit sportscasts for Fox 32 local newscasts. The ideal candidate will be able to produce and edit features for all sports specials. Must also be able to edit (Adobe Premiere and Bit Central Desk top) and be proficient in the editing workflow. Account Executive: The Fox O&O duopoly in Chicago is looking for a highly motivated sales person to join our Local Sales team. The position will primarily focus on developing new business for Broadcast TV. The successful candidate must be able to identify qualified targets, use strong communication and presentation skills throughout the sales process and maintain a high closing ratio. We are looking for someone that can bring together all our resources (Top Rated Local News, Fox Network, Fox Sports, My Network TV, Web Sponsorships and Promotions) in a creative manner to achieve a high level of results. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to, strategically negotiating existing business along with obtaining incremental dollars from the existing market and building strong client relationships. Responsible for completing administrative tasks such as weekly forecasts, monthly reports, new business trackers, weekly meetings forms and the credit and collection of all accounts. REQUIREMENTS: Ideal candidate must possess a proven track record of success in sales. A four-year college degree is preferred. Media sales experience is strongly preferred. Knowledge of media math, TV ratings and web metrics is a plus. Candidate must be a self-starter with strong verbal and communication skills. We are looking for someone who is energetic, positive, creative and passionate to succeed in the highly competitive environment of the media sales. Senior Accountant: Fox Television Stations, LLC, a division of 21st Century Fox, is seeking a dynamic individual to join its team. The Senior Accountant will work in partnership with the Finance Directors in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. This position will own the month-end close process via preparation of journal entries and coordination of intercompany activity with the corporate office and other stations. The Senior Accountant will prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring that account balances are properly supported and recorded in accordance with GAAP and company policies. This position will be involved in the annual budget process as well as submission of tax and audit packages to the corporate office. Will serve as backup for daily log posting.  Will assist with various ad-hoc reporting requests and implementation of new policies and procedures.  REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with 2-3 years of public or private corporate accounting experience required. The successful candidate must have strong analytical skills along with excellent oral and written communication skills. The candidate must possess a strong work ethic and be able to prioritize multiple projects. Producer: WFLD's News Department is seeking an experienced individual for an immediate opportunity in its newsroom as a Producer. The Producer will generate fresh and engaging content to newscasts and digital. He/she is accountable for gathering, writing, editing, and producing content along with supporting anchors and reporters. The Producer will edit VOs, SOTs, teases, and the occasional PKG for newcasts; mine and facilitate content to news and digital teams; download video and create placeholders within rundown. This person will serve as a "go-to" person for EPs, assignment editors, reporters, photographers and editors regarding editing and video requests. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in communications, journalism, or broadcast required. Minimum of five years' experience in a medium to large television market preferred. Ability to mine content from all sources and possess the technological expertise to write, edit, produce and distribute content to all platforms is required. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge and understanding of the latest ways to utilize social media, both as a news gathering tool and to communicate with our audience. Broadcast Maintenance Technician: WFLD/WPWR is seeking a skilled Broadcast Maintenance Technician to perform daily preventative maintenance, installation of new equipment, troubleshooting, and problem solving of all equipment with a 24/7 television operation; e.g., maintenance of master control and production control automation systems, remote production ENG, ingest and playout servers, routing systems, newsroom systems, RF and satellite distribution, microwave systems, video encoding, networking equipment, server hardware, and other facility needs as assigned. Technicians will assist in system design and implementation of new technologies at studio, transmitter, and remote facilities. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 5 years of television broadcast experience as a broadcast maintenance engineer required. Knowledge of basic electronics and of television transmitters and RF facilities a plus. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Must be flexible with schedule and willing to work weekends, holidays, and occasionally overnight shifts. Ability to lift 50 lbs.  Must possess a valid drivers’ license. A knowledge of the tools used to troubleshoot and calibrate broadcast equipment. e.g.; multi-format waveform rasterizer, spectrum analyzer, test signal generator, multi-meter, IP and fiber-optic tester, etc. is preferred. Please click here to apply.

Promotions Producer/Writer: The News Promo-Producer will write, produce and edit promos, including daily topicals, station and news image spots, POP’s, network prime and program spots for the Fox Duopoly in Chicago, IL. The Topical Promotions Producer will be responsible for writing/producing/editing Fox Chicago news promotions under deadlines; production of image identity campaigns; production of compelling spots that take a unique approach and connect with viewers and increasing view tune-in through the production of top quality promotions. REQUIREMENTS: 5+ years experienced non-linear editor; degree in Communications field; flexibility to meet tight deadlines; ability to execute distinct marketing and branding strategies. Avid platform experience is a strong plus. Motion design skills, strong writing skills; a good understanding of how to sell news stories and station programming to target demographics.
