Burglaries reported in Lake View

CHICAGO (STMW) - Police are warning residents of burglaries within the past month in the Lake View neighborhood on the North Side.

The burglaries occurred:

  • between 8:30 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. Dec. 10 in the 800 block of West Roscoe Street;
  • between 11:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Dec. 11-12 in the 900 block of West Roscoe Street;
  • between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Dec. 16 in the 800 block of West Newport Avenue; and
  • between 8:45 p.m. and 9:05 p.m. Dec. 17 in the 900 block of West Newport Avenue.

In each incident, suspect or suspects enter the residence by climbing through unlocked windows or forcing open back doors, police said.

In the last reported incident, two suspects were described as black males. One of them was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and gray skullcap, and one was wearing a dark blue jacket, police said.
