Police warn of robberies in Armour Square, Chinatown

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - Chicago Police are cautioning South Side residents after a series of strong-arm robberies last month in Armour Square and Chinatown.

One to four people have walked up to victims at night and demanded their things, according to a community alert from Deering District police. The robberies happened:

  • July 26 in the 2400 block of South Archer,
  • July 24 in the 2100 block of South Archer and
  • July 23 in the 200 block of West 29th Street.

The robbers were males between 17 and 20, but police do not have detailed descriptions.
