2 police officers hurt in East Garfield Park crash

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - Two police officers were hurt in a crash late Friday in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The officers were traveling south on Kedzie Avenue at 10:25 p.m. when a black Buick LeSabre going east on Warren Boulevard failed to stop at a red light and hit the marked van, according to Chicago Police.

The two male occupants in the Buick got out of the car and ran away, police said.

Two officers were taken to an area hospital in good condition, police said.
