'Hamilton' finally opens in Chicago

FOX 32 NEWS - The much anticipated "Hamilton" finally opened Tuesday night in Chicago.

Hamilton was performed at the Private Bank Theater on Monroe. It is the story of Alexander Hamilton, who’s a founding father of our country. The story is told through hip-hop, R&B and jazz.

The musical is a huge hit at the box office, and so tickets are not easy to come by.

People have been lining up for tickets, and some folks are waiting for tickets that are being released for shows that won't happen until next March.

There are a few ways to get tickets to see Hamilton. You can call the box office or go online through Ticketmaster. There is also a day of show online lottery.

Every day, 44 tickets are set aside to be sold for ten-dollars.
