Pedestrian fatally hit by Metra train in Roselle

SUN-TIMES MEDIA WIRE - A pedestrian was hit and killed by a Metra train Monday afternoon near the west suburban Roselle station on the Milwaukee District West line, officials said.
The person was struck by inbound Train 2242 near the Prospect Road crossing in Roselle about 3:45 p.m., according to Metra spokesman Tom Miller.
The female suffered multiple traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the DuPage County coroner’s office. Her name was not released Tuesday afternoon.
