News Associate Producer (Per Diem): WFLD/WPWR is seeking a News Associate Producer (Per Diem) for our evolving news department. The Associate Producer will be exposed to all aspects of our news operation. This person will contribute to daily programming across linear and digital properties. They will also work with our daily news-gathering team. You will be expected to do story research, digital content production, assist in breaking news coverage and work with our robust digital operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently research and generate news stories within WFLD’s standards and guidelines.
- Work closely with the station’s social media platforms, assisting with creating content, generating story ideas and writing for digital platforms.
- Strong sense of urgency.

Sports Anchor: FOX 32 Chicago is looking for a powerhouse sports anchor to spearhead our sports department in one of the nation’s premier sports towns. This is a high-visibility leadership role that requires a blend of elite on-air presence and the "boots-on-the-ground" grit of a reporter. The Lead Sports Anchor will drive high-impact, multimedia, and in-depth sports coverage, leading our digital and social media expansion. From the studio to the sidelines of Soldier Field, you will be responsible for delivering the "FOX Edge" - bold, accurate, and exclusive content.
Key Responsibilities
1. On-Air Leadership & Content Generation
- Primary Host: Command the sports desk for gameday studio shows, daily talk shows and podcasts with authority, energy, and a deep-rooted knowledge of Chicago sports.
- Strategic Pitching: Lead the daily editorial process by researching and pitching in-depth sports stories that transcend daily scores.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a robust sales pipeline of qualified clients for the Fox Local Extension (FLX) OTT /CTV platform and Fox Local News Platforms

News Reporter: FOX 32 Chicago is looking for an innovative Reporter with a Content Creator mindset who can tell any story on any screen. We’re looking for a storyteller who will report live daily on fun and exciting events happening in the greater Chicago area. The candidate will be a self-starter and work independently to produce compelling content. This isn’t a job where the assignment desk hands you a story every day, we’re looking for an innovator who knows how to create great content. Additionally, you may produce and host a daily program. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works in concert with the News Managers to create daily live reports from fun and exciting locations across the greater Chicago area. This includes pitching story ideas, setting up shoots and interviews and effectively communicating plans with producers.
- Works in concert with the News Management to develop concepts for scheduled streaming programs designed to maximize the audience for the station’s content.
- Crafts compelling local content to be delivered via the station’s platforms.

You’ll be the glue that holds the operation together, juggling emails, phones, social media and police scanners. You’ll coordinate and direct news crews ensuring they are covering the most important stories in our community for both digital and broadcast. You are the communication expert who can deliver information accurately and quickly to producers, reporters, photographers and news managers. RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be responsible for guiding news coverage on digital and broadcast platforms during your assigned shift. News Photographer: WFLD Chicago Fox 32 has an immediate full-time job opening for a staff photographer for our news broadcast(s). Candidate will shoot and edit spot news, feature stories and sports. They will also perform LiveU and ENG microwave shots from in and around the Chicago area. Candidate must be a high caliber news photographer with a minimum 3-5 years’ experience. Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field preferred. Candidate must be able to shoot and edit a package in the field and must be familiar with Adobe Premiere. Candidate must be able to lift over fifty (50) pounds of equipment, walk carrying a tripod, batteries and Live U backpack. Must be willing to work in extreme hot/cold weather conditions and be willing to work weekends, holidays, and overnights. Individual must also work well with Assignment Desk, Writers, and Reporters.
