Police say a man wanted for attempted murder in Memphis was arrested after being found hiding inside a clothes dryer at a home.
What we know:
The Memphis Police Department says on Sept. 26, officers responded to shots being fired in the 3500 block of Eastline Drive. When officers arrived, they learned that a victim had been shot multiple times during a dispute. Cops say the victim’s vehicle was also struck by gunfire.
Investigators identified Branden Scott, 36, as the suspect and an arrest warrant was issued charging Scott with Attempted Second‑Degree Murder and Employment of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony.
Four days after the shooting on Sept. 30, police located Scott hiding inside a dryer at a residence. Police say he was taken into custody without incident.
Police also arrested 27‑year‑old Arian Henry, for obstructing the investigation. She was charged with False Reporting.
Police have not released any further information on the shooting victim.
