What we know:
The Will County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to a home in the 200 block of Dellwood Avenue in Lockport Township for a report of a shooting around 7:54 p.m.
When deputies arrived, they found a 31-year-old woman and a man in a driveway suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital, where the woman died, and the man is expected to recover.
According to the sheriff's office, the victims were bystanders who were standing outside when they were caught in some sort of crossfire.
