Chicago Heights pharmaceutical glass plant closes, 172 workers laid off

Gerresheimer has shut down its Chicago Heights facility after years of production, laying off 172 workers as the company cites declining sales and shifts pharmaceutical glass manufacturing to operations in Italy and India.
