1 injured after car crashes into building on Chicago's West Side

A car crashed into a building on Chicago's West Side early Wednesday.

What we know:

The incident occurred around 5:45 a.m. in the 3100 block of West Ogden Avenue. 

Two vehicles, a Ford Escape and a Chevrolet Suburban, were traveling east when they sideswiped each other, causing the drivers to lose control. 

The Suburban struck a nearby building as a result of the crash.

The driver of the Suburban, a 29-year-old man, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition. 

No other injuries were reported.

What we don't know:

It remains unclear what caused the two vehicles to collide. 

Officials have not released further details about the incident or whether there is an ongoing investigation.
