CHICAGO - A woman was wounded in a shooting Thursday on the South Side.
She was riding in a vehicle about 3:16 p.m. in the 700 block of East 37th Street when gunfire erupted, Chicago police said.
The 30-year-old was struck in the foot and taken to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
Area One detectives are investigating.
