Des Plaines River Marathon floats into its 67th year

One of the oldest races of its kind, the 18.5-mile Des Plaines River Canoe and Kayak Marathon floats back this weekend, drawing paddlers from across the country for a relaxed, no-experience-needed ride that’s more about camaraderie than competition.
