In a powerful gesture of solidarity, Pope Leo XIV will deliver a special five-minute video message of hope, love, and compassion to thousands gathering at Soldier Field this Saturday for the Les Turner ALS Walk for Life ? the Midwest?s largest ALS fundraising event. The message, requested by his longtime friend Rev. Jim Halstead, an Augustinian priest from Chicago living with ALS, will serve as both encouragement and a reminder of the urgent need for continued research into the devastating disease.
