Chatham shooting: Man killed on Chicago's South Side

CHICAGO - A 22-year-old man was gunned down Wednesday on Chicago's South Side.

Around 5:12 p.m., police say the male victim was near a parking lot in the 8700 block of S. Lafayette Ave. when he was struck by gunfire.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Nobody was reported in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
