Chicago man charged in 2 Fernwood armed robberies

CHICAGO - A 21-year-old man was arrested Monday in connection to two armed robberies on the same block in Fernwood just days apart last month.
Donovan Ewing, of Chicago, was allegedly robbed a 61-year-old man at gunpoint on Sept. 16 and a 60-year-old man on Sept. 22.
Both robberies occurred in the 200 block of West 104th Street just a block away from Ewing's residence on West 104th Place.
Ewing faces two felony counts of armed robbery and one for aggravated discharge of a firearm into an occupied vehicle.
He was scheduled to appear at a detention hearing on Wednesday.
