Chicago Northwest Side shooting leaves 1 dead, 1 injured, police say
CHICAGO - Two people were shot, one fatally, while walking on Chicago’s Northwest Side early Saturday morning.
The deadly shooting happened in the Belmont Central neighborhood.

What we know:
A 25-year-old man and a 29-year-old man were walking in the 6000 block of West Belden Avenue a little before 2 a.m. when they were shot, according to Chicago police.
The 25-year-old was shot in the head and taken to Loyola Hospital where he died.
The 29-year-old was hit in the back and shoulder and was taken to Christ Hospital in good condition.
Investigators learned the shooter may have been traveling in a red car at the time of the shooting.
What we don't know:
No one is in custody so it was unclear who was responsible for the shooting. Area detectives are investigating the case.
