Man, 33, found shot to death in South Shore home

A man was found shot to death inside a residence Tuesday morning in the South Shore neighborhood.

What we know:

Around 8:30 a.m., police officers found the 33-year-old with a gunshot wound inside a home in the 7900 block of South East End Avenue, according to the Chicago Police Department.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Area Two detectives launched a homicide investigation into the shooting.

What we don't know:

The circumstances around the shooting were not clear. Police have not said how many suspects were involved or when they believe the shooting occurred.

The Cook County medical examiner's office has not yet identified the victim.
