Man dies after being found shot, stabbed in Humboldt Park home

A man died after he was shot and stabbed Monday evening in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood.

The backstory:

Responding to a report of a person with a gun, police officers found a residence unlocked around 6:40 p.m. in the 800 block of North Christiana Avenue.

A 24-year-old man was found inside the home with a stab wound to the abdomen and a graze wound to the face which appeared to have been caused by gunfire, police said.

The victim was taken to Humboldt Park Health where he was pronounced dead. He has not yet been identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

No arrests have been made. Area Four detectives are investigating.
